Qualys won Best Vulnerability Management Solution at European SC Magazine 2009 Awards Event

Infosecurity Europe, London — 30 April, 2009— Qualys, Inc., the leading provider of on demand IT security risk and compliance management solutions, today announced that it has won the SC Magazine Award Europe for Best Vulnerability Assessment. The awards were announced at the annual SC Magazine Awards dinner and presentation on Tuesday night at the Hurlingham Club in London.

Now in its fourteenth year, these highly acclaimed and prestigious awards are designed to reward excellence and innovation in the IT security industry.  Qualys and the QualysGuard service were among more than 300 entries submitted for the SC Magazine Awards Europe.  The panel of judges included chief security officers as well as high level IT security executives.  Veracode was presented with these accolades at the SC Magazine Awards gala dinner on Tuesday, 28 April at the Hurlingham Club in London.

Qualys also won the highly commended award for the category “Security Vendor of the Year” in the European awards.  At the US Awards event the previous week, QualysGuard®, Qualys’ Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) security and compliance solution, was selected SC Magazine’s 2009 Reader’s Trust Award winner for Best Vulnerability Management Solution for the third consecutive year. Additionally, QualysGuard Enterprise was selected SC Magazine’s 2009 Excellence Award winner for Best Enterprise Security Solution.
