The ecosystem will show applications running on virtualized servers, featuring VM-Aware storage from Tintri as well as Nexsan. Xsigo, the market leader in virtual I/0 will provide the 'Datacentre Fabric'. The ecosystem will be managed and protected by VEEAM.
S3 has dubbed its vision of expanding virtualization beyond just hypervisors and servers as "Virtualization 3.0". S3 Head of Business Development, Gurdip Kalley, said: "As the UK's fastest growing data storage management reseller, we are going back to what we believe is core to the data centre - virtualization.
"Virtualization 3.0, the virtualization of all aspects of the data centre, rather than just compute, will create the foundation for the cloud model of computing. Achieving this requires a holistic approach to virtualization and ongoing management in order to create a unified, dynamic and agile next-generation computing environment."
On its stand D20 at IP EXPO, S3 will also showcase a storage solution called Oxygen Cloud, effectively an enterprise Dropbox application allowing anywhere, anytime access to corporate data to any device using an enterprise application. As part of its partnership with the storage reseller, S3 will give away free Oxygen accounts on the day.
IP EXPO, the UK’s number one IT infrastructure event, will showcase the latest solutions for IP Networks, Wireless, Storage, Virtualization, Cloud Computing and Security. Virtualization will play a key role in this year’s show alongside cloud security, BYOD, and Big Data as IT departments continue to grow and change.
