Evaluation Based on Completeness of Vision and Ability to Execute
Amsterdam, August 7, 2009 – SDL Tridion today announces that it has been positioned as a Web Content Management leader in Gartner's Magic Quadrant for Web Content Management[1]”.
In 2008, the Gartner MarketScope was created to describe the competitive landscape for providers of Web content management. The Magic Quadrant is a graphical representation of a marketplace at and for a specific time period. “Leaders can, and should, drive market transformation. Leaders have the highest combined scores for Ability to Execute and Completeness of Vision. They are doing well and are prepared for the future with a clearly articulated vision. In the context of content management, they have strong channel partners, a presence in multiple regions, consistent financial performance, broad platform support and good customer support. In addition, they dominate in one or more technologies or vertical markets. Leaders are "environmentally aware" of the solution "ecosystem" into which their own offerings need to fit. Leaders can: demonstrate enterprise deployments; offer integration with other business applications and content repositories; incorporate Web 2.0 and XML capabilities; and provide a vertical-process or horizontal-solution focus.”
Jan Jaap Kolleman, CEO of SDL Tridion; “In my opinion, Gartner's analysis of the WCM market and its positioning of SDL Tridion as a leader recognizes our proven strategy and vision in developing a complete end-to-end solution for global customer engagement. We allow marketers to create and deploy fully integrated campaigns incorporating customer management and interaction, multi-channel marketing and web content management. Tight integration with SDL’s Translation Management Technology creates a powerful, easy-to-use solution for marketers to communicate with and sell to a global audience.”
