Sigma Systems selected by Suddenlink Communications to power advanced IP voice services for small and medium business
Toronto, ON – June 25, 2008 – Suddenlink Communications (
www.suddenlink.com) and Sigma Systems (
www.sigma-systems.com) today announced that they are extending their long-standing relationship to power a new addition to the Suddenlink services portfolio: Advanced Commercial VoIP services for small and medium businesses (SMB). Sigma was selected based on its successful multi-year track record in fulfilling all VoIP and high-speed data services for Suddenlink’s residential customers.
“Suddenlink’s advanced commercial VoIP services will provide value-added capabilities and reduce communication expenses for our SMB customers,” said Kevin Stephens, Senior Vice President of Commercial and Advertising Operations for Suddenlink Communications.
“We have had a great deal of success with our existing Sigma deployment, which automates the fulfilment of advanced IP services including residential voice and high-speed data. As a result, Sigma’s Hosted Commercial Voice Service Package, as well as the new Release 4.0 of its Service Management Platform, was the clear choice for Suddenlink’s commercial voice initiative. We look forward to taking this strategic partnership to the next level,” said Bob Putnam, Chief Information Officer for Suddenlink Communications.
“Sigma is proud to be working with Suddenlink as it prepares to offer new communications choices for business customers across its deployment footprint,” said Tim Spencer, President and COO for Sigma Systems. “Today’s small and medium businesses are facing increasingly competitive environments across a diverse range of industries. Trusted service providers like Suddenlink, which offer solutions that are affordable and easy to use, can provide a true business advantage.”
Sigma’s Hosted Commercial Voice Service Package automates the complex IP service fulfilment functions required to deliver voice services with a full set of calling features, including call display, call forwarding, call answer and hunt groups, as well as innovative IP-based communication features such as find me/follow me and unified messaging. As well, it enables operators like Suddenlink to rapidly create new bundles of commercial services in demand with the requirements of their SMB customers and manages the complexity of inter-carrier (e-bonding) gateway processes. When it is time to fulfil orders, Sigma’s underlying Service Management Platform supports shorter order intervals, significant reductions in order fallout and faster problem resolution. The end result is that voice service delivery is optimised for customer satisfaction, increased revenue and reduced operations costs.
As the leader in advanced IP service fulfilment, Sigma has delivered approximately 100 million managed services for individual, bundled and converged services worldwide. In addition, its solutions have deployed over six million voice lines worldwide.
