Rondanini gains flexible CRM capability with investment in SAP Business ByDesign from Enterprise on Demand
London, April 2012: Rondanini UK, a leading Italian food importer, is the first UK-based distribution company to implement SAP Business ByDesign, a complete, integrated on-demand solution, which will be delivered by Enterprise on Demand (EoD), a dedicated SAP partnership organisation.
Founded in 1989, Rondanini UK, a family run company, supplies the leading supermarket groups with both branded and own label fine foods, such as Emma Giordani, Pizza Express, Italfresco and Disney Fresh Pasta. Together with its sister company Salvo 1968, it also supplies major restaurants and café groups with high-quality authentic Italian food and ingredients.
Once implemented over a period of approximately 16 weeks, ByDesign will provide Rondanini UK with enterprise-class end-to-end ERP functionality across all business areas.
“ByDesign will give us the means to securely access data anywhere in the world and provide a valuable snapshot of current business performance,” says Rondanini’s financial officer, Andrew Drake. “We are delighted to be working with Enterprise on Demand and using the ByDesign solution. We require a system that offers best-practice SAP functionality such as end-to-end business coverage, but at a fraction of the cost of a traditional SAP solution. We also need a solution that can be easily scaled to out growing business needs.”
Working with ByDesign on a centralised cloud-based system, both companies will enter data only once as it can easily be shared across a secure platform, increasing productivity and efficiency. This eliminates the need for Rondanini UK and Salvo 1968 to re-enter data into disparate systems as all business functions will work on common data, rather than in separate IT solutions.
With ByDesign, Rondanini UK and Salvo 1968 will receive direct data feeds from third-party warehousing with increased visibility of stock holding.
ByDesign is a long term solution that Rondanini UK themselves can further update with support from EoD. “If business develops internationally, we simply enable the automatic cross-border facilities,” says Enterprise on Demand director, Darron Walton. “We are very pleased to have secured this dual part customer win and we are looking forward to working with Rondanini UK and Salvo 1968, now and well into the future.”
