With this program, mobile developers can download the Streamezzo Software Development Kit (SDK) and gain access, at no cost, to resources such as code samples, tutorials, demo applications and off-the-shelf components. Now developers have everything they need to create innovative Rich Mobile Applications able to run - without rewriting - on all major mobile plaforms and OS's

What is Streamezzo Mobile Open Development Platform?

The Streamezzo Platform is a complete development and runtime framework to easily create and deploy Rich Mobile Applications on any mobile platforms: Android™, BlackBerry®, BREW®, iPhone™, Java®, Linux, Symbian® S60 (including last 5th Edition) and Windows Mobile®.

The Streamezzo platform consists of a generic runtime client (Rich Media Client), which has been ported and tested on all major mobile OS’s and a J2EE compliant content publishing server (Rich Media Server) that makes mobile applications as easy to maintain as web sites.

What is included in the Streamezzo SDK?
Freely downloadable, the Streamezzo SDK includes; Streamezzo Workbench  (authoring tool based on the Eclipse IDE), Streamezzo Rich Media Server Developer Edition (J2EE compliant mobile application server), Streamezzo Components Library (Music and Video Players, RSS Reader, Picture Slide Show…), Streamezzo GUI Toolkit (Carousels, progress bars, animations…).

In order to become applicable to download the SDK and the associated resources, developers must first subscribe to the Streamezzo Developer Program (no joining fee necessary).
 
How to Subscribe to the Developer Program?
Streamezzo launched its Developer Program to support the community with the basic and advanced development resources to create Rich Mobile Application with the Streamezzo Mobile Open Development Platform. By registering at http://developer.streamezzo.com developers become members of both the Streamezzo Developer community and the Streamezzo Developer Program.

What are the benefits of the Developer Program?
Subscribing to the free “Standard Membership” gives access to:

• Streamezzo SDK
• Reference device packages for iPhone, BlackBerry, MIDP 2.0, Symbian, BREW and Windows Mobile.

An “Alliance Membership” is available upon request. This level requires a fee to join, and provides the following benefits:
