Paris, May 12th, 2009 – Streamezzo SA., the leading provider of Rich Application Software platform for mobile, announced today its Board of Directors has appointed Alain Tingaud as Chairman of the board and Olivier Avaro as Chief Executive Officer of the company. Olivier Avaro was also appointed to Streamezzo’s Board of Directors.
Alain Tingaud is the Chairman and CEO of Alain Tingaud Innovations, a Business Angel Fund which invests in high-tech startups in the IT sector in Europe and in the US. Alain Tingaud is also the founder of InfoVista S.A. Nouveau Marché (7667)) and served as Chairman & CEO of the company from its inception in July 1995 until July 2008. As a well-respected and recognized entrepreneur, Alain Tingaud brings to Streamezzo more than two decades of networking, strategy, and management experience in the area of e-business, multimedia software, and telecommunication services.

Olivier Avaro started his career at France Telecom R&D in 1992 where he initiated and led several international projects providing richer experiences to end-users user within the context of broadcast, internet and mobile multimedia services. Starting 1995 until 2008, he led for France Telecom and later Deutsche Telekom the MPEG Systems standardization committee, and developed important standards such of the MP4 File Format, the MPEG-4 BIFS and LASeR standards for Rich Media services. In 2001, Olivier Avaro was appointed Chief Technical Officer of the Orange Lab department on hyper language and multimedia dialog and created Streamezzo from there in 2004 as a spin-off company of France Telecom.
