The world’s first ACP tool for LTE
Capesso™ LTE is the world’s first automatic cell planning tool for LTE. Capesso™ LTE makes possible the strategic investigation of all of the major LTE technologies and their impact on network engineering. Capesso™ LTE is tightly integrated with the leading radio network planning tools. It can use existing data from GSM, CDMA and UMTS networks to quickly develop and investigate realistic LTE designs and compare them with other technologies.
“Capesso™ LTE is the ideal tool for investigating LTE business cases,” said Dr Thomas Neubauer, Symena’s Managing Director. “You need to consider aspects such as flexible bandwidth, advanced antenna technologies, guard intervals and adaptive modulation formats. Each parameter has a significant impact on customer experience and capital investment. We have developed Capesso™ LTE so that these things can be investigated very early in the life of LTE. This knowledge can then be used in negotiation with regulators, suppliers and operators to ensure the best outcome for all stakeholders.”
Capesso™ LTE is very much more than a dimensioning tool. As a full function ACP it is used to find the best trade-off of cost against coverage, quality and capacity. With Capesso™ LTE a planning engineer can go from standard planning inputs like site locations, clutter and traffic to an optimised network plan in a few clicks. A Capesso™ plan is accurate, comprehensive and much more effective than can be achieved by any other method.
Capesso™ LTE supports the analysis of Multicast Broadcast Single Frequency Network (MBSFN) services. MBSFN will deliver services such as mobile TV using LTE infrastructure.
Capesso™ LTE was released today. It can be viewed by appointment at CTIA in Las Vegas from 1 to 3 April 2008.
