Industry Leaders Extend Successful Pilot Program to Offer Crowdsourced Testing to UK-based Firms
London, UK – January 26, 2010 –TCL, a leading software testing consultancy, and uTest, the world’s largest software testing marketplace, today announced an expanded partnership to bring on-demand software testing to the UK. The partnership enables TCL to leverage uTest's community of 22,000 professional testers from 163 countries around the globe, providing its customers with a cost-effective way to test their web, desktop and mobile applications.
The pilot program between uTest and TCL was launched in March 2009 and is already in active use by a number of organizations, including leading UK online retailer, Iwantoneofthose.com, and specialist government agency, the Met Office. uTest enables TCL to build an on-demand testing team for its clients, based on their testing requirements, such as location, language, operating system and browser. They then get real-time bug reporting and application feedback from uTest's community of testers.
“Rather than using costly, long-term contractors, uTest’s on-demand model enables real-world testing that can reduce test cycles from weeks to as little as 2-3 days,” said Stewart Noakes, Co-founder and Chairman of TCL. “This enables software companies to reduce the total cost of testing and launch desktop, mobile and web applications more quickly.”
"TCL offers a wealth of experience in the UK software testing space, as well as an established track record of excellent service and an impressive roster of clients,” said uTest CEO, Doron Reuveni. “uTest is excited to expand our partnership with TCL and to offer world-class software testing services to UK-based companies."
