LONDON, UK, February 19th, 2010 -
Telehouse, a leading provider of global
data centres, and
managed ICT services, today announced its platinum sponsorship of
Data Centre World at the Barbican, London on the 23rd-24th February.
Data Centre World, the largest free Data Centre exhibition and conference in the UK, will examine the issues surrounding the selection, outsourcing, building and running of a data centre for UK data centre professionals.
Jean-Marc Mutzig, Senior Sales and Marketing Manager at Telehouse Paris, will discuss business continuity in the context of how data centre providers protect technology infrastructure in relation to its criticality to the customer. Mutzig will emphasise that data centres must focus on cost effectiveness, resulting from a selective and gradual protection of IT systems based on the appropriate flexibility and availability requirements.
The
session, entitled “Telehouse Meets Business Continuity Challenges” will take place at 11.30am on Tuesday 23rd February in Theatre 2.
Almost twenty years after establishing a major IT and Telecommunications hub in London (Telehouse North), Telehouse has continued its commitment to reliability and customer service by offering complete
end-to-end ICT solutions on a global scale.
“Telehouse continues to make significant investment in its data centre facilities and managed ICT services to help ensure business continuity for our customers. As part of our mission to constantly improve the products and services we take to market, we recently launched our new
global ICT services offering. Furthermore, we have expanded our global presence with the opening of two data centres in
South Africa: Telehouse Cape Town and Telehouse Johannesburg. In March this year, our £80million state-of-the-art facility, Telehouse West, will open in London.” commented Michelle Reid, Sales and Marketing Director, Telehouse.
Telehouse regards its facilities not only as providing physical "walls" and power, but more as an
Infrastructure As A Service (IAAS) provider, combining physical and virtual IT environments located across multiple sites. This enables Telehouse’s customers to meet their demanding IT requirements, backed with appropriate recovery points, all in the fast paced timescale they need to work in.
Telehouse launches its 35th facility
Telehouse West based in London’s Docklands in March 2010. The 19,000m² facility will offer access to over 400 ISPs, ASPs and carriers.
