9th September 2008 – The Broadband Forum, formerly the DSL Forum, honored the outstanding work of one of its active participants, Moti Morgenstern of ECI Telecom, at the Opening Plenary of its third quarter meeting in Sweden.
Moti, a long term key contributor in the Operations and Networks Management Working Group, has been presented with the Broadband Forum’s Circle of Excellence Award at the meeting in Stockholm. The award recognizes his dedication and hard work as editor on three important Technical Reports, most recently TR-141 "Protocol Independent Management Model for Access Nodes Supporting TR-101".
“We are extremely pleased to publicly recognize Moti for all his efforts and significant achievements in driving industry standards over the years. The Broadband Forum relies on such members for its continued development and it is important to honour those individuals who work exceptionally hard for the industry as a whole,” commented George Dobrowski, chairman and president of The Broadband Forum.
“I am delighted to receive this Circle of Excellence Award,” said Moti Morgenstern. “The Forum provides its members with a fantastic opportunity to express their thoughts and use their expertise to make a real difference to the Broadband industry. I am proud to be a member of the Forum and look forward to continuing my contribution for many years to come.”
The Circle of Excellence Award is given to those individuals who have shown exceptional skill, and who have provided significant contribution to the Broadband Forum’s work and to the future of the broadband industry as a whole. The award, which is nomination driven, has been presented at the Forum’s quarterly meetings since 2000.
The Forum, a consortium of over 200 international member companies dedicated to the development of broadband access and management technologies, renamed itself to the Broadband Forum earlier this year, to better align its name to its work, which has now extended beyond its DSL heritage to address other access technologies and to incorporate more management protocols for the network and digital home.
