(April, 2012) – ThoughtWorks, a key player in enterprise Continuous Delivery development services, has announced that the Managing Director of its ThoughtWorks Studios division was named as a finalist in the “2012 Cisco everywoman in Technology Awards”.
Cyndi Mitchell was nominated in the innovator of the year category; recognising women designing, developing, researching or implementing technology in an unconventional and innovative way.
The everywoman in Technology Awards were launched last year in association with womenintechnology.co.uk to celebrate inspiring women working in technology in the UK. The award recognises businesses of all shapes and sizes, from SMEs through to large corporations.
The awards took place on Thursday 29th March at The Savoy in London. The event opened with a keynote speech from the Rt Hon Dr Vince Cable MP, Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills.
Cyndi joined ThoughtWorks in 2002 and has worked in development, consulting and general management. Today as Managing Director she has responsibility for the company’s global strategy, sales, marketing, business development, product engineering and customer success.
