10 November 2009 - Interactive Tracking Systems, Inc. (“Itracks”) announced today that the United States Patent and Trademark Office (“USPTO”) issued a Reexamination Certificate upholding the validity of Itracks’ U.S. Patent No. 6,256,663 (“the ‘663 patent”).  The ‘663 patent relates to a system and method for conducting online focus groups using remotely located participants.  The issuance of the Reexamination Certificate confirming all 16 claims is the result of a successful reexamination of the ‘663 patent and brings to conclusion the proceedings before the USPTO that were initiated by a third party requester in January 2009.

“We believe the Patent Office’s decision confirming all of the originally issued claims of the ‘663 patent should eliminate any doubt about the validity of our patent,” said Dan Weber, President and CEO of Itracks.  “We are very pleased with the successful conclusion of the reexamination proceedings, knowing that our strengthened patent will continue to provide protection for Itracks’ online focus group and online bulletin board focus group technology until 2019.”
