General Availability of Vamosa Check and Fix to Achieve and Maintain Enterprise Content Governance
BOSTON, US and LONDON, UK – September 29, 2009 – Vamosa, a provider of software and solutions for Enterprise Content Governance (ECoG), today announced the general availability of Vamosa Check and Fix (C&F), with extended functionality for Web records management. C&F offers multi-domain, multi-author, website monitoring, reporting and web records management, plus the ability to initiate fix processing when standards are found to be compromised.
C&F performs this processing against a rich set of standard and custom measurement points covering HTML standards, compliance, branding and governance. Through its dashboard, web stakeholders can monitor, review and even automatically fix issues found across their full web estate by the highly scalable SaaS application.
The new Web records management functionality redefines the control and accountability enterprises have over their Web content to support governance by providing full audit trails. C&F allows enterprises to take a snapshot of important Web pages that require legal control, such as Terms and Conditions. This snapshot occurs every time Web content changes, to enable the review of out-dated material, and provides a full audit trail for all changes.
Debra Logan, Vice President at Gartner Research said, “Failure to comply with e-Discovery demands is costing enterprises millions; from regulatory penalties to litigation fees and staff fees as they spend weeks reviewing thousands of documents for specific content in response to threatened or actual litigation. Enterprises must make effective Enterprise Information Governance a part of their successful ‘litigation-ready’ strategy to reduce the potential cost of e-Discovery. Having proper structure and quality controls in place to find new and old content and avoid duplications will help enterprises avoid the costs of not meeting required timescales. Quite simply, if a business cannot capture, share, organize, find and use its content efficiently, it will struggle to meet compliance requirements.”
Christine Pierpoint, Partner, WelchmanPierpoint said, “Many organizations struggle to effectively manage their Web presence; whether it’s because they don't know who ‘owns’ the content or due to lack of formal Web governance. This situation leads to a poor quality Web site and can impact the business’ bottom line.”
“Web content is rebellious; there isn’t a lot of control, but there can be,” said Nic Archer, Senior Vice President, Technologies at Vamosa. “Using a solution that can give this Web content traceability prepares enterprises for the rigors of governance. We are able to help enterprises get their Web content under control and keep it there by automating policy and implementing workflow to fix content.”
The general availability of Vamosa C&F is part of Vamosa’s suite of products and services for Enterprise Content Governance, the process of not only achieving, but maintaining good content quality to satisfy key business challenges.
Welchman Pierpoint and Vamosa will host a series of Enterprise Content Governance events in October to demonstrate how automating Web governance can benefit your organization. To learn more about Vamosa Check and Fix or the ECoG events in October, please visit
