Vertex, a leading outsourcing and IT services company, has appointed Anne Sheffield to take on the senior management role of Company Secretary and General Counsel for the global firm.
Anne has a variety of appropriate experience and knowledge for this new Vertex position. Most recently, she was Head of Corporate Development for Anglian Water Group and General Counsel and Company Secretary for Morrison Plc (a subsidiary of Anglian Water), where she has managed various teams. Anne has also successfully handled several significant commercial contract negotiations and project managed a number of high profile sales and acquisitions with both of these companies.
After qualifying in commercial property at Wragge & Co, Anne went on to be Senior Associate for Allen & Overy, working in commercial property and then moving into the Corporate Energy and Mergers and Acquisitions team. In 2003 she set up a European in-house legal counsel position with SAIC INC.
