Cheltenham, UK, 31 July 2012 - Horsebridge Network Systems Ltd of Cheltenham, which has communications technology equipment deployed in more than 120 countries worldwide, was today acknowledged for its world-class performance and customer satisfaction, when it was awarded multiple quality accreditations by The British Assessment Bureau.
Following an independent assessment by the bureau, Horsebridge has achieved the internationally recognised ISO 14001, ISO 27001 and OHSAS 18001, adding to the ISO 9001 initially gained in 2002, establishing it as one of the leaders in its field. The accreditations demonstrate Horsebridge‘s commitment to customer service and quality in delivery.
Geoff Smith, Managing Director, said: “We are one of a select few organisations to hold such a wide range of accreditation which underlines our commitment to our customers and our focus on quality, the environment, information security, health and safety.
“Not many customers get to see their suppliers’ ‘back-office’ activities. This recognition demonstrates we can safely provide a quality solution from quotation to delivery, whilst being environmentally focused and maintaining stringent security awareness and controls.”
Horsebridge has now earned the right to display the coveted British Assessment Bureau ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 27001 and OHSAS 18001 certification mark to demonstrate its conformance to the standard.
ISO 9001 was first introduced in 1987 and requires organisations to demonstrate that they do what they say they do and that they have a quality management system in place to ensure consistency and improvement; leading to high levels of performance and customer satisfaction. Certified organisations are committed to continuous improvement and are assessed annually to ensure progress is being maintained.
ISO 14001:2004 was first introduced in 1996 as a British Standard and requires organisations to have an environmental policy and action plan to manage impact on the environment. Certified organisations are committed to continuous improvement and are assessed annually to ensure progress is being maintained.
ISO 27001 is designed to help establish and maintain an effective information management system, using a continual improvement approach. It implements Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development principles, governing security of information and network systems. Certified organisations are committed to continuous improvement and are assessed annually to ensure progress is being maintained.
OHSAS 18001 was first introduced in 1999 and requires organisations to assess risk and implement an effective occupational health and safety management system to promote a safe and healthy working environment.
