Wyless provides wireless connectivity for innovative personal tracking device
Wyless, the global wireless data communications group, has been chosen by buddi, the provider of the smallest GPS tracking device in the world, to supply its managed services and enable a global wireless network connection for buddi’s personal tracking system.
Wyless is embedded in the buddi device and enables managed, robust global connectivity, transferring data across the network for users and staff to access. Buddi also benefits from the availability and flexibility of the Wyless Management Platform (WMP), an intelligent internet/API-based network management tool that enables bespoke usage of the network and the visibility, control and flexibility to manage and control any problems or emergencies.
buddi can be tracked to within a few feet anywhere in the world, with the data identifying its location being communicated to a central server hub. The data is communicated through WMP and visualized within the customer portal, where third parties and the buddi customer response team can securely view and monitor the location of a user, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. buddi’s customers include lone workers in councils and NHS trusts, parents of young children and teenagers, the elderly with Alzheimer’s disease and anyone who finds themselves alone and in potentially difficult situations. It is designed for those who want increased personal security and may require emergency assistance at any time.
“We wanted a network management provider whose business approach mirrored ours; we are an industry-leading company and we’re looking for the same in our suppliers”, said Sara Murray, Founder of buddi.
“Our values are reflected in Wyless’s flexibility, excellent customer service, and 24/7 availability. The nature of our solution means that reliable connectivity and security are of the utmost importance,” said Murray.
Wyless enables organisations to outsource the management of their wireless networks, removing the need to develop and manage complex and costly infrastructure, lowering security risks, improving total cost of ownership
(TCO) and increasing ROI by more rapid deployments and dramatically increased management functionalities. At the same time, with the Internet/API based WMP, customers benefit from increased visibility, control and flexibility of the network and the connected devices.
Rami Avidan, CEO of Wyless, commented, “This partnership illustrates our ongoing commitment to providing global connectivity for our customers. We support buddi’s solutions and services and are delighted to be enabling this innovative solution to protect people in vulnerable situations across the globe. Our service mirrors that of buddi, with the emphasis on customer care, reliability and security.”
