19 May, 2009, Manchester, UK.
Yuuguu, the leader in instant real time collaboration has integrated its instant
screen sharing, cross network
instant messaging, and
web conferencing service today with Skype and announced its Yuuguu for Skype launch to the public in an open Beta.
Download the
Yuuguu for Skype Beta today. It is the simplest and quickest way for Skype users to instantly
screen share, and collaborate in real time with one or more of their contacts on Skype. Importantly, there is nothing to download or install for the session participants – only the host needs access to Yuuguu.
Through this Skype integration,
Yuuguu also allows Skype users to aggregate their contacts on all major instant messaging services (Google Talk, MSN, AOL, ICQ, Yahoo and AIM) in one place, allowing Skype users to
instant message, instantly screen share and collaborate in real time with all their colleagues and friends from one unified interface. Again, there is nothing to download or install for the session participants – only the host needs access to Yuuguu.
Yuuguu users can now also benefit from the free and low cost VOIP calling features of Skype. Together with the free and low cost instant screen sharing, real time collaboration and web conferencing capabilities of Yuuguu this integration provides a more powerful and much lower cost alternative to existing online meeting and unified communications services.
Co-founder and CEO of
Yuuguu, Anish Kapoor said: “Our product developments over the last 18 months have been geared to strong customer demand for instant real-time collaboration tightly integrated with their instant messaging services. With key industry analysts* now recognising the importance of such technology integration for
web conferencing, this enhancement of our INSTANT platform extends Yuuguu’s technical and commercial lead in this strategically vital new market segment.”
Businesses of all sizes and consumers are already slashing their telephone bills and transforming their use of voice using Skype. With the Yuuguu for Skype Beta they can move to a next generation web conferencing and online meeting platform, whilst also reducing their current spend by up to $648 a year for individuals and many thousands of dollars a year for companies. See Yuuguu’s WebEX, GoToMeeting and Yuuguu Plus
price comparison.
Yuuguu’s instant screen sharing and real time collaboration with other Skype users and the use of Web Share web conferencing is free for up to 100 minutes a month with a maximum of 5 participants per session. Users can upgrade to Yuuguu Plus for just $15 per month for unlimited screen sharing, real time collaboration and web conferencing usage, together with the ability to have up to 30 people in a session.
