30 April 2012, Ascot, UK – ZBD has been highlighted as one of Europe’s 100 most promising technology companies, achieving a 2012 Red Herring Europe 100 Award at this year’s conference in Amsterdam. As the only e-paper display company to be recognised in this year’s list, ZBD has been spotlighted alongside Europe’s most innovative companies.
ZBD is a UK company that designs, manufactures and supplies e-paper display solutions for retailers and industrial users globally. ZBD owns all its core intellectual property and is a UK exporting success story, with a global customer base. Already a leader in graphic displays for the retail sector, ZBD is building its business in other sectors to enable organisations to improve the speed of communications and reduce the cost of doing so, through the deployment of paper replacement solutions.
“Choosing the companies with the strongest potential was by no means a small feat,” said Alex Vieux, publisher and CEO of Red Herring. “After rigorous contemplation and discussion, we narrowed our list down from hundreds of candidates from across Europe to the Top 100 Winners. We believe ZBD embodies the vision, drive and innovation that define a successful entrepreneurial venture. ZBD should be proud of its accomplishment, as the competition was the strongest it has ever been.”
“Red Herring Europe Top 100 is well respected within the industry, so we’re incredibly pleased to be highlighted amongst such good company,” said Shaun Gray, CEO at ZBD. “This award is recognition that ZBD is continuing to move forward and has all the proof points of being a technology company to watch: we have our own protected IP, a cost-effective means of manufacture and distribution, and an effective channel to market.”
