Golden Section Ratio Design Tool From Atrise
 by: Andrew Revvo

From the earliest times, human cultures have striven to define beauty. A study of nature, architecture, and art reveals that a common principle - that of pleasant proportion – is an universal characteristic that contributes to defining beauty. The proportion that is pleasing to the eye is the Golden Section, or simply the ratio of one relationship to another, or 1 to 0.618.

It is well known, that the important part of perception is perception of forms, sizes and symmetry. Harmonious correlation of sizes and forms is used practically everywhere in arts, design and technology. Golden section allows producing beautiful pieces, using simple rules, and is accessible for every designer. However, simplicity in achievement of harmony requires calculations and a straight eye.

Atrise Golden Section is a program, which allows avoiding the routine operations, calculator compilations, planning of grouping and forms. You can see and change the harmonious forms and sizes, while being directly in the process of working on your project. Designing has never been that simple. The precision is also available to you. The program offers easy methods of achieving sizes with accuracy to a nearest pixel.

The program uses a principle of building a grid of vertical and horizontal lines, with snap to your design. The resulting grid can be easily applied to design created in any computer program.

The Main Window with the grid is always located on top of other system windows. The grid can be easily moved and reformatted into the required size or form. But this is not the main point. The main point is that, being applied to you design, the grid is absolutely transparent for the mouse cursor. You can work with you design, as if the grid has been glued to your monitor. Meanwhile, you can make it semi-transparent or barely visible. Computer technologies let you achieve incredible flexibility and usability.

Many designers, using Atrise Golden Section ask themselves, *This is indeed so simple! How come we were not aware of this program before?* Now they are creating beauty and perfection. We will be very glad if you join them and use our program to fill the universe with refinement, beauty and harmony.
