The Two Little Questions That Can Turn Your Life Around
« Posted: October 31, 2007, 09:43:30 AM »

What if I told you there were two simple questions that if used properly could free you to follow your dreams. That could allow you to make use of opportunities to increase or improve your business.

Questions that will change your mindset of asking for advice, feedback or guidance. Two steps to getting that raise you’ve been longing for.

The first question is “What is the worst that could happen?” Given any situation, think of the worst that can happen. Will you become bankrupt? Lose your job? Spend a little more money than you expect?

For example, setting up your own business. Apply the first question – “What is the worst thing that could happen?” Is it spending money that you can’t afford? Wasting valuable time and resources? Being a failure?

Once you have some answers, the next question is “Can I live with the answer?” In other words, decide whether you can live with the worst case scenario you have thought up.

In our example, can you invest only what you can afford to lose? Are you willing to do your best to succeed and not look at failure as the end of the world? Will you keep looking until you find a ‘yes’ response?

If you are willing and able to accept what you’d imagine as a nightmare situation, then there’s nothing to stop you from trying. After all the worst that can happen, you’re already willing to deal with.

Try these two questions when dealing with everyday life. Many times, you’ll discover you’ve avoided opportunities to succeed or to get ahead just because you’re afraid of the negative consequences – scenarios that you are actually willing to cope with.

The truly funny thing is that many times you will get more positive results than the nightmarish ones you were expecting. If that happens, you’ve moved one step ahead towards what you’re aiming for!

So ask the two little questions and see where they lead you.
